When Gabriel arrived at The Bridge Avenue School in 5th grade, traditional classroom settings had not worked well for him. He struggled with school routines, staying focused in group discussions, and regulating his emotions throughout the day. Simple physical tasks like jumping jacks were difficult, and he often needed additional support to navigate daily challenges.

But at TBAS, Gabriel was given something every child deserves: patience, structure, encouragement, and people who believed in his potential.

Today, Gabriel confidently leads discussions during his English class full of 8th graders. He proudly serves as a school ambassador, welcoming guests, answering questions, and sharing his experience with others. Recently, he even led his classmates in a jump-rope activity—something that would once have felt impossible for him.

Gabriel’s story is a reminder that when students are given the right support and environment, growth happens in remarkable ways.
